UVLayout bridge for Cinema4D.
Get UVLayout from official site.

Setup

  • Unpack plugin in ../Cinema4D/plugins/ directory or in C:/Users/[name]/AppData/Roaming/MAXON/Cinema 4D RXX/plugins/).
  • Launch Cinema4D, Plugins > Polygroups Flatten.
  • Start Cinema4D and open Options window: Plugins > UVLayout > Options. Specify the work path of the UVlayout.

Config Directory

When updating the plugin, you must delete the old configuration files. You can find configuration files by clicking on the button in the options window.

Usage

When you click the Exchange \ Reloaded \ Update button, the selected object or group of objects will be exported to UVLayout. After creating a uv and pressing the SEND button the object will be imported in Cinema4D. Old version of object will be hiding. When you hold the [Shift] button and click on the export icon the settings window will open. Synchronization between programs is maintained until the main UVLayout panel is closed.

Settings

Bridge Settings

Block A: Location uvlayout.exe or headus-UVLayout-Pro.app.
Default location is:

  • Win: C:\Program Files (x86)\headus UVLayout v2 Professional\Uvlayout.exe
  • Mac: /Applications/headus-UVLayout-Pro.app

Block B: Parameters are the same as UVLayout import parameters, except Keep checkbox. In Keep mode - old objects when importing new objects into Cinema4D will not be deleted, but will be hidden. If Keep mode is turned off, old models will be deleted.

Block C:

  • Exchange - starts the UVLayout export process with the selected options.
  • Close - closes the plugin window, saves settings and clears all temporary files.
